  • Hello @Kili. My other 2 systems with Windows and Apple are work machines, but my main private system is Linux.
I made the mistake to believe that the app has no website access, but this was stupid of me.
I will have to wait obviously until my print subscription runs out and start a new digital subscription.

    I my garden.

  • @punkdoc As they say in these want-to-buy-a-house programmes, “it’s very nice house and will definitely make someone very happy, unfortunately not me”. 😂

    I my garden.

@Simone_in_Wiltshire then why don't you download virtualbox for Linux and then you can install Windows 10/11 on a virtual machine then you can have the best of both worlds.  ;)

I don't quite understand @Simone_in_Wiltshire, As far as I am aware, and as others have said, you do NOT need to have a digital subscription if you do not want to read the magazine.

The Gardeners World Forum is available online to anyone worldwide.

    I only work with Windows/MacOS if I’m paid for, @Kili 😉
I use Virtualbox but stay Linux-only. I wouldn’t know what to do Windows/MacOS in my private life.

  • @Lizzie27 I could do this but I don’t work for free and don’t want that others have to work unpaid. It’s a moral thing, you know.

If you click on the Gardeners World.com logo, top left,  you’ll see where it says Premium,  that’s the bit you can’t access without buying the magazine.

I don't subscribe to the magazine. You don't have to. No idea what's on premium. Articles? Offers?

@Simone_in_Wiltshire  … no one’s working unpaid … the main website is paid for by advertising. You’re not ‘cheating’ by accessing it for free … that’s what it’s there for … it’s how the GW website works, as do other parts of the Immediate Media online business such as the BBC Good Food website https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/

I think people are commenting at crossed purposes. Is there a misunderstanding? I don't think there is much of the regular GW website that is subscription only, a few articles, a few vids, but nothing special.

It looks to me that I have to give up the Gardeners World forum if I want to be environmental friendly.
    I don't get why.

I use the GW website, forum and have subscriber digital access on a Mac laptop with no problems, but maybe I have missed the question.
