Can I mend my toasted sandwich maker?

    @arossrob. I did that ages ago. The new one is much better quality but it hasn't got the additional plates. Worth repairing but not worth spending much money on.

    @Topbird. I have had an induction hob for a few months. We have bonded or at least come to an agreement and I'm still precious about it. That'll wear off eventually. 
    Update
    £3995 but delivery is free. I don't need a roasty toasty that badly.

    I love a panini and use 2 of these heavy cast iron griddle pans.
    Heat one up on the hob - put your sandwich on it, put the other griddle pan on top.
    After about 2 mins turn the sandwich over and put the pan on top again to finish the other side - et voila... un panini :)

    I have only one of those and a round cast iron griddle pan. I suppose I could make one with an odd shape🤔 @Pete.8

    I have exactly the same - makes an excellent panini - 
    The square one has the sandwich and the round one sits on top and weighs it down

    I should've called it a skillet - a big flat round job. I'm pretty sure I have another griddle pan one with a collapsible handle somewhere come to think of it. Great idea @Pete.8
