    Foliage turns yellow/gold, as it is now where I am. Then when it drops, you have the white trunks, although they become more marked as the tree ages. Some are smoother and whiter than others though ,and they can also be scrubbed to brighten them if they get mossy etc. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • The bare white branches and trunk look fabulous in winter, as though these have a dusting of snow.  
  • Some trees can drip a lot of resin on any car parked beneath them. I would check that out if you intend to park beneath them.
