Garden hoarding.

In the house, I'm not much of a hoarder but I will confess to two Quality Street tins. One is full of nails and the other is full of screws, bolts and washers - well you never know....I
It's different in the garden. I allow plants I don't particularly like to spread. I have scores - maybe hundreds of flowerpots but I have no intention of opening a garden centre.
I have decided to try to be good. Pulmonaria with boring leaves  - out. Interesting leaves can stay. Most small flowerpots - out. I prefer to use the multicell containers you buy plants in for seed sowing. Old broken tools that I probably wouldn't be able to fix - out
I have posted this so now I have to do it.

I'll show you my pots maybe. You know what boring  leafed pulmonaria look like already. @Plantminded

I was a garden hoarder...till last month. The hedge behind the greenhouse was so overgrown that it shaded the greenhouse too much. Before it could be cut, I had to remove all my pots - almost 1000.  I did not believe it but my young grand-daughter counted them ...  They have all gone now and I feel so much better! I cut the hedge too and we have light! If it hasn't been used for a year, chuck it.
  • I seem to be hoarding plants. Last year and this year I tried various cuttings to see how successful I could be and divided others. Well I now have a bunch of astrantia/roses/Verbena/salvia/dahlias/ geraniums and god knows what else sitting in pots at various stages. I have no use/space for them but loathed to chuck them away. I try to offload them to anyone who comes to the house with limited success.

I leave excess rooted cuttings out on the pavement. They soon go. I even got rid of a load of spent primulas. They did have the odd flower left so that helped.
Black bin collection today so when that's empty, I'm starting on the flowerpots. I might even throw in a few broken hose connectors🤔
