Fox and cubs is one of the names. You need to dig it out. It will lay its leaves flat in the ground to stop anything growing nearby.  Don't be tempted by the pretty flowers.

Nice one @B3 from that I get this link from the web. I had a look because we have loads of these this year, so I guess conditions are good for it. Mind you no where near as the numerous self-seeded VB.
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!
  • Pilosella aurantiaca

It reproduces both through setting seed and through rhizome and stolon runners along the soil and can be difficult to control by hand-weeding if it has been allowed to establish. It can spread quite quickly if it takes hold.

Looks like i have a job looming, Thankyou both for your replies

It's the only weed that I dig out of my grass patch - and I have many and various weeds/ wildflowers.

Goodness, I nearly bought some of these from the Sarah R website... says nothing about it being invasive!

@Janie B It is a lovely colour but a complete pest that returns year on year.
How Sarah Raven dare sell it I don't know, it does say suitable for a meadow but it should also say not for the average garden!
