Glad to hear it works on your cat problem ,but does it also keep off other wildlife eg hedgehogs? I shouldn’t want my hog to desert me .

No. Each type of sonic gives a frequency for just that animal (fox, mice, deer, cat etc)
  • Not that I’ve noticed as front garden looks out to the roadway. Hedgehogs are in the main garden to rear which edge fields and tree’s with Squirrel's but vermins not reds.

I'm really glad that you have had a good result.
  • I've been using the Pestbyte ones for a couple of years, got them scattered all round my large back garden. There's also a couple of solar powered ones from Lidl in there too, not sure how effective those are, but the Pestbyte definitely work. They don't deter the badgers or squirrels. Changing the batteries is quite fiddly.

I've had those too @Escarpment, plus some others that another forum member recommended. They worked for a couple of months, then they were ignored.
I've given up. I'm sick of the relentless cost of it all. There's 2 persistent offenders here, plus another which is virtually feral,  and nothing stops them.

I hope you have better luck @TerrysWorld, but don't bank on it...

  • @Fairygirl I feel your pain, I still have the problem in the front where I don't want to put the devices in case they bother passers by (or get nicked). Though I do see them in other folks' front gardens. I decided the best thing was just to make the cleanup as easy as possible so stocked up on dog poo bags and keep them near the front door. Long term I dream of filling the front with big prickly shrubs :)

Prickly shrubs, including having it on the ground, doesn't stop them here.
I can't stop them accessing the front garden, but it's the back that's the problem because of the birds. I use the water scarecrow, but can't use that for large parts of the year because they freeze.

Have you tried increasing the volume as I did above the recommendation, also try increasing the range as I did.
