To make the English toad edible and delicious, it must be put in a hole and covered with opprobrium nitrate. If you do this on St Agnes Eve, it won't make you heave at Michaelmas
Did they ever work out how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall? Googled it. This seems to be a reasonable estimate but, unfortunately, there's no mention of toads
"4000 holes
The Royal Albert Hall is nearly elliptical in shape with a volume of 3,060,000 cubic feet and holds 5,222 seated patrons plus 500 standing. One might conclude that each of the 4000 holes would have to be 765 cubic feet by volume."
Maybe Mr O had a sense of humour. What was really need to know is how many toads it would take to fill the Albert Hall and are we talking dead toads or live ones ? It would be difficult to count live toads what with them jumping about and all🤔
I think we need to have some sort of standard on toads as a unit of capacity. Wouldn’t dead ones deflate and shrivel a bit and therefore you’d need more dead ones than live ones to fill it? Can’t mix the two.
I was thinking the common British edible toad There is a variation in size with species. Are males heavier than females? The there's the maturity issue. It's very complicated. We need someone to do some independent research, possibly an American with extensive research experience.

@war garden 572, baffled by the British eating toad, can you confirm that Americans eats grits to keep the slugs away?
