If you’re going to live in a house surrounded by others the idea of real privacy is a pipe dream … but it really is amazing how few of our neighbours  are at all interested in watching what we get up to in the garden 😵‍💫
We really will have to try harder to be more interesting 🦸🧙‍♂️🧛‍♀️🧜‍♀️💃🏽🧞‍♀️🦹🏽‍♀️🤸‍♂️🧘‍♀️🤹‍♂️

I didn't mean in the garden @Dovefromabove, although people going past and stopping for a chat drove me mad, I meant behind the netties! 🤣
  • I have a south facing garden, two storey houses on all three sides and it definitely still gets plenty of sun. I know I shouldn't complain but it gets excruciatingly hot out there to the point where it's nigh on impossible to enjoy it.
  • Guys, thanks for all of your input!
All your advices and comments are great :)
Over the night I realised that my desired plot 141 is at the only entrance/exit of the development and you can see there are speed bumps surrounding that plot... which I may not consider anymore -

Will look into other plots at that development tho it may not be able to enjoy the discounted pre-show home price :(

Im all ears if any plot I overlooked and please suggest me.

If there is a change of levels on the site you’ll get more sunlight and even more chance of some privacy at the highest level … the downside is you’ll have to be prepared to stake trees and shrubs and some perennials.

Probably wise @matthewyupakkwan . There'll be a lot of traffic in and out once all the properties are occupied. Hopefully not too fast though, with the speed bumps. Prime location for the show-home, not so much to live in.

150 looks interesting. South facing and it seems you might not be too overlooked. Is there a legend for the different colours? I also wonder about the gardens on the south edge of the map that we can't see.

Notice how we're all picking out the biggest gardens? 104 looks interesting too. The back of the house faces west(ish) so it should get afternoon and evening sun, it doesn't look too badly overlooked, and might be quieter for traffic being near the end of the cul-de-sac.

I would spend some good time (hours) hanging out on the estate (at different times of day) and seeing how loud the noise is from the train line and the main road. Also check out what borders the plot on the east and west. It might inform where you want to be.
