That’s definitely me too, @B3! How could I possibly not remember what this very unique and unmistakable cutting is?!

I think " bedding " is a gardening crime, and about 150 years out of date.
    What does this mean?

Ignore me. Bedding plants. Annuals? Like the stuff the council puts everywhere. Lasts a season or two and is then replaced?

I won't bother labelling that cutting. I'm sure I'll remember what it is next year🙄
Of course you will @B3 :D  Not exactly a crime but I got 2 different Cuke varieties mixed up this year.  I'd labelled them too.

That describes the norwich council approach to planting trees unfortunately.
  • Not labelling and not watering new plants in pots. New plants are so near the outside tap but not in sight from the kitchen window, well that's my excuse!

All of the above but mostly the not planting and not labelling and not digging big enough holes and not prepping properly... 🤠

The biggest gardening crime people commit here is extreme pruning of lagerstroemia, known as "crape murder" (google the phrase if you dare) in late winter.

My own biggest gardening crime is attempting too many plants that need sandier soil than I can provide. I've lost so many - agastache, stachys, salvia, allium, scabiosa, penstemon to name a few. In my defense, I live just north of a fall line; the soil type just a few miles south of me (in a much bigger city) is much sandier. As a result, most of the GCs carry plants for those conditions.

I have been known to visit garden centres and pinch off cuttings from plants I like but don't want to buy...
