The Plant album app gives you the option to add photos and other details, including notes.

That does look like the right sort of thing! I can't see it on the Play Store though - is it iPhone only?

Does not seem to be for Android 😟

  • There are so many great app options to keep track of your succulent collection. I love Garden tags; you can add pictures of each of your plants, notes & reminders, and track the progress of each of your succulents. Another great one is Greenkeeper which you can go old-school with and store your plant info offline for free.

    Checked both those out.
Garden Tags is only available for older versions of Android and Greenkeeper seems to be for grass and turf!

I think you’re right about this only being available for iPhone. I’ve had the same struggle as you a few years ago when I was researching apps. I found it very strange that nobody has thought about creating such an app. The situation doesn’t seem to have changed.

@LG_ you can embed content in the QR code or a link, or whatever really.  A link could be interesting.  But it does require a bit of organisation.  I have a list of plants... Somewhere...  As it's not that accessible, I don't much bother with it.  Whereas I guess if I had a QR code that took me to a blog page, I could potentially add a new photo there and then.  When doing a task like digging a trench for a hedge I normally take a photo, for some kind of historic record.  But I do find the process of organising the photos later a bit of a time waster.  Quick zoom/scrolling with a pile of photos is in some ways easier.  I think that's why some people never bother to migrate their photos from tablet/mobile.

It sounds good, babydolla47, but Garden tags hasn't worked for me.  I shall try Greenkeeper just in case it's Android friendly.

What kind of functionality would you like it to have?

Sometimes rather than a bespoke app, you can utilise something like email, twitter, instagram or a blog to do what you want.
