App for plant collection details?

Can anyone recommend an app (or something!) that I could use to keep track of my succulent collection.
At present I just have them listed on a database but this is really just a list of plants and when and where I got them.
Ideally I would like one that could show various pictures of the plants progress, when re-potted etc.
Rather like a card index system.
Preferably able to use offline (and free!).

I assume you mean photos that you have taken yourself? Could you not include them in the existing database?

I farting around organising photos is a chore.  I wonder if you could put a label next to the plant that you could somehow later use a robot to put it all together for you.

I just tried a QR code generator, and could generate something like Rosa Rugosa 2023 inside.  And my phone could read that QR code as if by magic.  Whether it would pick it up as a label hanging off a plant or on the side is anyone's guess.  But perhaps there's something here worth considering.  I'm probably over thinking it, and you could just label it aa, ab, ac and have an index or something in your database.

A QR code has to go to something though? It doesn't generate content by itself. And the OP wants to be able to use offline.
I'm just wondering if a note app like Evernote might be enough? It depends how to want to interrogate your database - if just basic searching is enough, then there are all kinds of notes and fields you can use in Evernote (not sure which ones are available in the free version) and it can be used offline too.

Could you not just create an album in your phone’s gallery for each plant and each album is the plant name?

I’m using an app that’s called Plant album. It’s an old app and nobody seems to update it, but it works for now.

    Thanks for the ideas everyone.
I am really surprised that there seems to be no 'off the shelf ' app for keeping track of plants.
A simple digital card index type of thing I would have thought easy.
Just a list in which you click on a name and you have a page with all the details and photos.
I have tried adapting Evernote, Google Keep etc.but never get what I actually want!.
Will keep on looking for now 😐

I think there's a big difference between one that provides the details (like RHS Grow) and one where you want to input your own details / photos. For the latter, it doesn't need to be plant-specific really, it just needs to be an adaptable database. The range of things different people would want to record (photo of seedling, brand of seeds, when bought, how much, type of soil, position in garden, flowering period, photo of roots, advice, special treatment, photo from others, category of plant, anecdote, botanical name and so on) is endless and unpredictable.

I just thought (in my ignorance it seems!) that there would be an app for a plant collection,or any sort of collection be it Star Wars memorabilia, china collection, stamps, thimbles or what have you that you could customise.
There seems to be apps for just about anything but not a simple one to record a collection.

I'm with you on this. On the PC I've got a file full of files with photos and notes for each plant but it's not very elegant or easy to update. I'd love to be able to update an online database on my phone while I'm in the greenhouse rather than have to remember to update the files later on. I'll post something over on the succulent sub-Reddit and see if that lot have any ideas. They're more of a techy crowd there so someone might be able to help.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I have had a go wit a document file in OpenOffice.
A bit time consuming at first.
Used a table to write info (this table can be added to).
Photos were a bit of a faff.Used Snapseed to add text to the photo and crop etc.
I put each document in a file on my PC (and Dropbox)
If I catalogue just a few plants a day or when I have time should be OK.
