    So, the trees are now covered in these little guys (clearly undeterred by the silver ribbons 😊). Friends or foes?

    I've got Stella; have to say it's not a great cherry; quite bland.
    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

    So I'm thinking it would be less hassle to move to where cherries are less expensive and big and juicy. Say The Okanagan for example. 😍

    Self pollenating but I don't want bland ones!

    Our "eating" cherries are taken by the birds while they are still green. What is the point? They are too big to net and yes we didn't check root stock. Lesson learned.
    We also have a morello (cooking cherry) which thankfully they don't like.
    Today picked the last batch, seeded them and have frozen them for use later in the year.
