    P.s. Foxes can jump q high too. Please help him if possible, he's just trying to live somehow and is nowhere near as troublesome a presence to the environment than a free roaming pet cat.

  • Shortly after moving here I watched a fox chase my neighbours cat across a field and back into its garden.
  • We have both cats and foxes visit our back garden. Front one also, I imagine, but I've never seen it.

    Foxes live in the field behind our house, and we can often see foxes of different ages playing there. 

    Our family cat once got attacked by a fox - and survived. I've never known it the other way round. But yes, their paths do cross. Often.

    I contacted a local wildlife rescue and they confirmed the Google results on Mange. There's a homeopathic (let's not get into that) remedy which can be added to food, or do nothing. There's prescription medication but it's harmful to other animals so you can't just leave it out, and I'm certainly not capturing it! Nature might have to take care of this one. I think one of my neighbours is feeding it, just need to work out who

     This is the cat that adopted us (he didn't like their dog) and one of the fox family we regularly feed.
