    Managed to salvage some red currants before the blackbirds took the lot.
    and then picked some more strawberries from the polytunnel. Some rather small (lack of water) but still great taste.

    Lovely redcurrants.  My indiscernible strawberries have finished now,  waiting for the garden in.
    @purplerallim I’m growing B. Alpha for my snails,  I was hoping for something a bit bigger,  they’ll want one each.
    Anyone know of a long variety for growing in the GH?

    @lyn
    We choose to pick Beth Alpha  this small, especially this early in the year, but you can leave them to get bigger, without any problems , as some of ours had to wait to be used and were almost full sized. There was no change in flavor or skin thickness on larger cues.

    Thank you,  that’s good to know,  they won’t eat thick skins,  just the middle,  bit like children leaving their crusts😀

    Thanks @scroggin

    Great looking produce.

    Looking at the size of your Spring Onions I reckon mine aren't too far off harvesting.

    @Sheps, it's one of the things I love about spring onions, I start harvesting them when they're not much bigger than chives, and they will stay in good condition in the ground for weeks gradually thickening. Can't beat fresh spring onions and a nice bit of cheddar on fresh bread.

    Picked a handful of 🍒; rest I'm sure the birds will feast on them before I get to them.
