    Good morning @Sheps 😊
but I posted on Wordle Wanderings at 4:43 … then went back to sleep. It’s been a bit of a tricky time in the Dove family this spring. 🙄

Then there's the are you awake thread if you're feeling lonely in the middle of the night.

If you choose to take part, then you become part, if you don't then you can't really expect to be.
Just an observation, which I am sure will disagreed with, but the majority of the disaffected, seem to be new posters who don't get their own way and don't like being disagreed with.
The forum has survived for many years, people come, people go, some stay and so it continues.

There seems to be and underlying resentment on the part of some members. This bubbles to the surface from time to time. Perhaps these members would be happier on one of the other forums.

I hope you have a re-think, @Winston_The_Gravity_Man, and decide to stay, even if you choose to just dip in and out of the forum. There’s lots of kind, helpful folk on here, willing and able to give advice on a whole range of things. 😁

I do hope you stay on the forum Winston and you’re not driven out by a few gruff silly arses.

I have dipped into a few other gardening forums and this one is undoubtedly my favourite because the discussion takes the form of fully developed questions and answers written in complete and cogent sentences. Contrasting viewpoints, as witnessed on the recent Chelsea thread, are usually accepted with tolerance.

Also, if an ID question is posed you can be almost certain the answer will very soon settle on the correct reply and the thread will not be littered with wild guesses or the same answer repeated 47 times over the course of the next couple of days. Another thing I like is the absence of the exhortation to “be kind” which is taken by so many as an instruction to agree with the constant repetition of loopy Facebook tips, sorry hacks, on how to deal with slugs or weeds, ideas that are repeated ad nauseam but not objectively tested once. Counteracting that advice is just feeding strawberries to dogs.
