That’s lovely @Songbird-2 I hope mine looks like that, I was a bit worried they might get too tall but yours look perfect. Did you pinch yours out?

@janetfoss and @CatDouch, many thanks.p for your kind remarks. @CatDouch, we bought these cosmos as tiddlers, grew them on a little and then planted them out. I presume from their size that they must have been pinched out and forced to flower early. We normally sow our own cosmos seeds but they haven't done too well this year or last but under normal circumstances, we don't pinch out as we like them quite tall and floaty. These are quite small but okay for a pot. I do prefer the taller ones though.

    That's very pretty @Songbird-2 :)

I only pinched mine out a few days ago so there are no flowers yet, but from what l can see the spacing looks quite similar.

It's much easier to cram in plants like Cosmos into pots, than hungrier, thirstier plants. They don't need much help in that regard  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I am hoping to have dozens from my sowings this year. I love them so much last year, I’ve done double the amount. Half  will go in pots, so I could try a ‘crammed’ one. I don’t pinch out either.

I pinch mine out. Kiiro and Rosetta are new to me this year. (These were their first blooms a couple of weeks ago.)

Lots left over still in the cell trays they were sown in, so I may as well try a pot along with you all.
