Runner beans

Can any tell me why the leaves on my beans are turning yellow, they are in my conservatory so get plenty of light, this has never happened before.

Are you using the same compost?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not the normal stuff I use, to be honest it’s rubbish, more wood chip in it to bulk it up, it could be lack of nutrients

    Wind burn in a conservatory?

No doors open, only windows for a flow of air way above the plants

I am no expert . Could it be damage from a rather cold night especially if the windows are left open at night .

I know it's in a conservatory,  but is it unheated? I would guess the plants were near the glass ( say the size /depth of a windowsill) and the radiated cold of the glass reached the leaves. If this is so then they will recover without harm @Tall trees

yellowing leaves can mean the plants are hungry. They aren't flowering yet, so it probably isn't that, but then again you say the compost is a bit poor, so maybe they need a bit of a boost.

bean plants make their own food.

To say legumes make their own food is stretching things somewhat. I wonder how much nitrogen fixation can take place while plants are growing in MPC and constrained in pots.
