    Talking of which, there's a very good book called "Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class" by Owen Jones.  I'd urge anyone who's able to to set aside a few hours to read it.  Then you'll appreciate why the UK is in such a pickle !

    There are people who defend some of he WUM's we get on here, often I think because they don't see some of their abusive posts, before we manage to get them removed. Some of the abuse given to long standing respected members of the forum is vile.

    @Sheps  … the flaw in the system is that if folk Ignore the wums, that leaves them free to target and abuse new posters … the modus operandi of some long-standing wums.  
    Also, it is not possible to Ignore posters who keep their profile private.

    I don’t see why we should ignore people who are being vile, especially to new posters, who will be put off posting.
    I will continue to point them out, get there comments removed and if possible get them banned

    As this is a gardening forum I just wonder why war garden wants to know about hunting seasons. (I realise we've had odd questions before).

    I believe, @Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants , it was a joke at the expense of a certain class of Englishperson's disdain of so-called 'chavs' and there likely being an open-season on them as there are with pheasants.  Unfortunately some people jumped, not surprisingly as the joke wasn't explained early enough, to an erroneous conclusion.
    S'all there if you care to wade back through the thread but please take my advice and don't bother.
