Large Pot, What Shrub to put in it?

I've not been here for ages! We just bought a large pot around 20" across and I would like to put a decent sized shrub into it. Ideally evergreen. Any suggestions?

I had a Trachelospermum Jasminoides in a pot for several years until I moved house and left it behind. It is evergreen and has perfumed white flowers. I've also had a dwarf rhododendron in a pot in ericaceous compost in a shady place.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hello Steve … good to see you … hope things are good in your world 👍

    Hmmm 🤔 I’ll have a ponder …

Hiya, I was thinking of a possible camellia option!

Is it going to be placed in the sun or shade … or …?

Our next door neighbours on each side have theirs in full sun! Which thrive!

Full sun is ok for the second half of the day, but you don’t want camellias to get morning sun on frosted buds. 😢
