Little pleasures, what are yours?

I have been sitting outside enjoying some of my little pleasures on the terrace. A little bit of rain falling on some of the plants starting to flower. What are yours?

Lovely markings on your Hosta in photo 6 @Jacquimcmahon, may I ask if you know the variety?  Hosta leaves always look good in the rain!

Loxley I love sitting listening to it. My husband and I share the dream of a glass roofed terrace to sit under and enjoy the rain. Love your lush greens, so soothing.

Hi plantminded, the hosta is “wide brim”, I find the leaves become more yellow rather than white as the season goes on.

Thank you @Jacquimcmahon, the changes of colour are fascinating!  I’ve just added some more Hostas to my collection and am curious to see what’s in store!

The best balcony of the neighbourhood!
To answer your question I am partial to drinking a hot chocolate while the sun rises and colours the sky.

Oh Digging it, I understand the joy and the regret. Rain on leaves always seem to happen when you are least prepared. I loved the tiny forget me not flower on the hosta leave. At the moment they are dropping everywhere and I’m always surprised by how such tiny flowers have the ability to make me smile.

    Lovely photos!
Watching the birds just doing what they do, it makes me happy that they feel safe in my garden. I watch them for hours, it's very 'zen'. They lend such unobtrusive movement to the place on a quiet, still afternoon, and their almost constant sounds are like a sweet symphony. Time often stands still.

Also seeing flowers budding pleases me more than it probably should, lol, I say hello to them.
