  I have lost a big shrub to the grubs of vine weevil.
  only small...but deadly.
  Kill..or feed to tame robins..yummy.

  I have had them on the washing before. That is how they may have got inside.

  I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

  I had them in my potted blueberry plant and potted hydrangea. So I cut some weed mesh and put it on the soil, and topped it up with gravel. Those weevil grubs have remained trapped under the mesh for the last 6 months and plants are fine. no adults have appeared this year. Recommend it as a solution.
