I missed your post, sorry! Do you grow any type of Snowberry? If so, can you tell me if you would describe the leaves as translucent? Membranous might be another term used. Thankyou!

Hello again all! I have taken these photos today. My plant has one very large stem with large leaves. The other stems are much more dainty with leaves half the size. Photo 3: the larger stem. Photo 2: a mix of stems for comparison. Photo 1:The trunk area ( the darker vertical stems). Still no buds so I cannot depend on flowering to help. Do these photos suggest it is anything different? Thankyou

Thank you @Silver surfer yes, I think my mystery plant is growing large enough for even me to see a resemblance (at last!). I am not expecting flowers or berries but if it does flower, I will try to capture a pic for here.

It just looks like the common snowberry....Symphoricarpos albus.
The leaves can be quite varied in size and shape.
