    I don't think it's Honeysuckle but I can't get the leaves in focus. That white patck on the stem doesn't look good, or much of the rest of the stem

    Yes I think the stem looks quite knarly. It was left by a previous owner of her house so I think she is just trying to decide what to keep or dispose of.

    Haha @B3 - I know what you mean. Maybe a feed and some fresh compost might help it for this season and then she could make her mind up.

    Somehow those leaves look a bit Salix caprea to me … maybe someone tried to bonsai it? 😵‍💫
