@Devonian I wish I could help. I’ve always thought that Jer’rey was very easy to propagate for an Angel pelargonium, and I’ve never lost any cuttings. Even the smaller ones seems to root somehow. I know what you mean by fragile though - they have very thin flexible stems! I take cuttings in October, put a few in a small pot, keep them on the windowsill and then separate the plants in December or January.
If you want Jer’rey, which is one I always grow, no need to join the waiting list, I’m happy to send you a rooted cutting.
I somehow missed this comment, @pitter-patter. That would be so lovely if you have any spares come planting-time!
I am going to have to try a little Fibrex order because if it's their last hurrah this year, and Dickson Roses', you have to, really. Currently looking at these ones. Do you have any recommendations?
I haven’t grown any of those @WAMS. In fact, I haven’t grown regals in quite a while. I’m mostly growing zonal and ivy-leaved ones. If you send me your address I’ll be happy to send a cutting of Jer’rey during the Easter break. This is a small flowered variety though.
Can I just add that Fibrex mentioned on Twitter a few weeks back that they found a buyer for the business but that it will move to another location, but at least we can all still buy their plants in the future. https://twitter.com/FibrexNurseries/status/1637874646480502784?s=20

You can try to grow your own from seed.
I would expect cutting-raised plants to have been selected to be easier rooting.
