    Oh wow Palustris, 4 or 5 miles! Clematis can get quite enthusiastic left to its own devices.

    One of the great attractions on the early clematis, is the beautiful seed heads they produce. 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    They are gorgeous FairyGirl, and so fresh and green in your photo. The seed heads almost look like an exotic flower in themselves :)
