I'm slightly confused by the mention of a school, or not a school,  @debra_underwood. Is there a connection to one or have I missed something?

There's a lot of plants mentioned which will suit really, depending on the aspect of each area you have, especially if the soil is decent.  How many plants you use will also depend on the size of those areas, so take a bit of time to work out the final sizes/spreads of anything you like, and it's also worth buying plants of a good size to put in. If you buy anything just now, they might be in small [3inch/9cm] pots, and they're more vulnerable to slug damage, so are best grown on and potted on for a couple of months before planting out.  :)

I think someone was trying to make a comment about the typo/auto-fill error - boarders instead of borders. I think it was pretty clear what @debra_underwood meant.

    Ah- thanks @JennyJ. I think I understand....
Yes - pretty obvious about the meaning, as you say.   :)

  • Borders and Boarders are quite a common typo.  Actually, your borders could be considered your boarders anyway.  You give them somewhere to live, you feed them and generally try to make them comfortable. If you have CCTV, I suppose you could also be said to keep them entertained too.  The only thing missing is the weekly rent  :D

My plants aren't boarders in my borders. They live there for free and get waited on hand and foot. Or rather, leaf and root.
