Just purchased Galanthus Polar Bear at a local nursery. No flowers just six bulbs that look as if they will flower. Will post a photo if they do go on to flower they are said to be outward facing and very late flowering.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I'm listening to Snowdrop Country whilst drooling over the beautiful photos on this wonderful thread. There is something special and magical about this pretty little flower and its timely appearance, whilst we're still shivering in the throes of winter. Thank you everyone.
Managed to get the podcast, that was most enjoyable thank you and has prompted me to get togged up and drive to a churchyard about 6 miles away to look at the snowdrops. I was last there 2 years ago and I won't miss a visit this year. Pics later. I'll read @Silver surfer's link when I get back

Here's my latest snowdrop, G, snow fox. It reminds me of G. Lord Lieutenant but I don't suppose I can justify the price of that.
