Good morning all. Another rainy start Biglad - I guess the flag laying will have to wait a bit longer. By the way, the answers to those two questions were given as Juneau (yes Alaska Biglad) and Phoenix Breweries. Me being a quiz anorak, I looked up the Juneau answer and according to t'internet that is incorrect and the right answer is actually Anchorage - also Alaska. Not to worry.
Hazel, I hope that board arrived safely last night.
Hello Debs, I reckon there is a bug going around as my cold sounded something like what you have.
Ante - a clematis? Ooh which one are you looking at?

Good morning Ruby. I had got similar thoughts to you as it is my green bin emptying day tomorrow and there are some things I won't put into my compost bin - shrubby bits etc. I'll wait and see if there is any dry time during today.

Good morning LB, Rubee and all to follow.

Debs, sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly. Hope you get well before Christmas.

LB, I knew that you will be interesting about new clematis. Still don't know which one, it's very fresh idea. I'll look tomorrow at GC if they have any at this time.

Grey and foggy morning, without rain. According to forecast it'll last till New Year, but with sunshine. I'm only glad that we don't have high wind.

Now is time to work so wish you all nice and warm day. See you later.

Good morning Ante. I do not like foggy conditions but at least you are dry. I hope work runs smoothly for you. Keep thinking of the lovely day you will have tomorrow.

Morning all. Mild again here and the sun is shining ( sorry @Ante1)./We have to go to the local skip this morning and rid ourselves of my old (new) ironing board ( I realised I couldn't get a refund on it as we had taken off that spare extra piece some of them have to put your iron on ( don't like them))and some green waste.
I'm pleased to say my new ( new) ironing board arrived safely after my last post night and the poor chap said he only had ten more stops to make and then he would be finished. This was about 7.40pm, he got a most sincere thanks from us. Also, I am so pleased with my new board as it's the same shape and height as my very old one, with a little weight but nothing I can't handle. It doesn't have the old fashioned solid ironing top, just modern mesh top but this is what makes it lighter. I was over the moon with it and it goes in the cupboard lovely.
Might have to try it out later.
Debs, nice to see you but sorry you've picked up this nasty cold that seems to be going round. I hope youre over the worst come the weekend. LB, has your cold gone now?
Ante,mI, too, am glad you don't have any high winds, they are so destructive, I hate them and they frighten me to some extent.

    Morning all.

I hope you are better soon @debs64.
Glad you are happy with your new ironing board @Songbird-2.

Took the car to the garage for its MOT, walked back which took 3/4 hour but I had a look at the decorations in the next village. They've made a model village decorated for Christmas complete with Santa, sleigh and reindeer in the little lane and square around the church.

    Off to finish wrapping presents.

    Good afternoon
we have a slight breeze today, but otherwise it’s fine and dry.
I didn’t post yesterday as we went to visit my sister and spent the day with her and her OH, which was lovely.
Catching up with various household matters today involving a cloth and a sucker upper! Break for coffee now, though.
Such a shame you couldn’t get a refund @Songbird-2, particularly as it was faulty - they wouldn’t have been able to sell it on anyway.
Hope that cold soon goes @debs64. Seems to be a lot of it about.
I really dislike those grey and foggy days, @Ante1, so I hope it soon clears for you.
Well, d better go, drink my coffee and continue with my chores.
    Take care everyone.

    Afternoon all,

Dry, sunny and a bit 'crisp' here. The bloomin' forecast has chucked me a great dummy this week :o Why do I bother checking it!

Been into town for a couple of things and a bit of exercise. Apparently my Advantage points were about to be removed if I didn't use the card so made a purchase in B**ts. My card was in two pieces, as I may have used it as a car scraper during the recent cold snap ;) Anyway, it still worked :D Just tried to order a new one. After spending 20 mins going round in circles, it appears to be impossible. Aren't advances in technology brilliant!  :s

Advances in technology and daily items are abominable @Biglad.
@Busy-Lizzie, that sounds a lovely walk back from garage, very refreshing and some lovely sights to admire.
@Red maple, pleased you had a wonderful day yesterday with family, it's always nice to catch up.
Ive just hung up some christmas cards on some  modern contraption, walked away and they've all fallen down again...great😠
Ive tested out the new board, absolutely great👍( hope I haven't jinxed it now.....)
