  • Yes, @bcpathome it's what OH always shouts back to me when I say, "can you remember the day when xyz ...".
It's about what we connect with the day or time. For example, I have been a cyclist all my life and I will remember March 2023 as the month, where it snowed and then rained and I was only able to cycle on one day.

    I my garden.

I admit to using the site that I linked earlier to remind me of the weather on particular dates. I only started keeping rainfall records last year when I bought the gauge. The particularly good or bad seasons are the memorable ones, so I'm sure I'll remember spring/summer 2022 for the awful drought and high temperatures just as well as I remember 2012 for the great growing conditions :)
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • @JennyJ The weather station for my town is half an hour far from us. That area where the weather station is (20 miles far) has got slightly different weather than we have. It's more impacted by the Cotswold whereas we are more impacted by the Downs.

    I my garden.
