  • I'm surprised you didn't mention the 'lovely' stake.

  • Another perfect example!
    Typical....leaning, falling over in spite of stake and ropes.,
    Very soon it will be a huge willow as trunk grows branches faster than the grafted top.

    I cannot understand why people do not get rid of them when they look like that and are so ugly.

    There's one similar to @Silver surfer 's post [just before mine]  further along the road too. 
    After I spotted the growth below the graft during summer, I thought - I wonder how long until that's taken over...and whether they'll notice.  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
