  • @BenCotto I love your Orange Cosmos. I only recently discovered them. Are they just as easy to grow and do you know the name of the one in your stunning photo please?

Thanks @GardenerSuze. I bought the seeds from an overseas seller who listed them as deep red Rubenza. Clearly they’re not! But they are easy to grow and, if you’d like some, drop me a PM with your address and I’ll post them to you.

  • @GardenerSuze they look the same as the cosmos I grew this year. The seed packet was labelled 'cosmos brightness' they are shorter and bushier, supposed to be in orange, yellow and red but most of mine were orange. I really liked them and will be sowing again next  year.

@joanna65 I had no idea that there were so many different colours. I did start a thread sometime ago 'Favourite Cosmos' you can type it in at the top of the page. So many lovely ones. @Fire mentioned a red one called Tetra Versailles Red which is no longer available. I am looking forward to growing some orange ones. Thankyou for telling me about'cosmos brightness' I am always excited to grow something different.
Just spotted C Brightness Red on line and they do look orange.

  • @GardenerSuze The ones I sowed were cosmos sulphureus brightness mixed, completely different leaves to the usual cosmos bipinatus and smaller flowers. I chose them for the lovely orange colour. They did really well in containers.
  • @joanna65 I am sure I have never come across this Cosmos before, had no idea they had different leaves. Thanks for your reply.
