Morning KT,53, I didn't say "doughy" I have tried thin, crispy. I just don't like them, and they fill me up to an uncomfortable feeling I don't eat,(better not say big portions) even what is considered a "child" size portion. Sandwich is one slice, cut in half. I've given up on tea cakes and hot cross buns, because they fill me up,and that's it for the day.
I do not eat pizza very often but keep a couple of the mini, child-sized ones in the freezer as a standby meal. I usually doctor mine, adding sliced fresh tomatoes and extra Mozzarella cheese. More than enough for me these days with a small green salad. I also occasionally buy a large "Chicago Town" pizza, other brands available, cut it into 4 portions and have a portion as a meal. The dough seems much lighter, less claggy, and filling, than many of the other brands.
@Wilderbeast your pizza looks amazing, was it a sweet bread dough or normal bread dough? Iv never thought to do a sweet pizza, it reminds me of a s’mores which I make occasionally on the fire pit. I’m tempted to make a version of your pizza and do it with a chocolate stuffed crust, yum 😋.
OH and I love a pizza and we are truly spoilt for choice living here. We have, over the past four years, visited a few local pizzerias but there are so many, as one would expect. As tempting as it is, a pizza remains a treat. The prices are very reasonable too. When visiting, my younger daughter jokingly "threatened" to ask for pineapple on hers. I said this would guarantee she would be on the next flight back to the UK.
Not paid much attention to sweet pizzas but have seen children eating Nutella ones.
I love eating outside and frequently do but the barbecue only makes an appearance when we have visitors - doesn't seem much point for only two people.
I now have a yearning for pizza

Failure is always an option.
