    Good things about autumn:
You can kick leaves if the council  hasn't  got to them first
    You can wear snuggly clothes
    It's  cool enough to sleep
    The colour  of autumn leaves.

There's a lot of depressing  stuff but it is not all so
Or as a colleague once said, “now it’s the time for making a stew again”.

I have always rather enjoyed feeling melancholy.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Yes, Lyn!  I've put two versions on the music thread.
    Great song.

It’s played often here as I just love the War of the Worlds DVD we have.

Lyn,B3 I watched the War of the Worlds musical a couple of weeks ago, spent all day every day for days, singing "oh no Nathaniel", and the chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one ". I cannot abide the expression"ear worm"!!!! There is a worm that lives in ear piercing,it's not this.

Wonderful @raisingirl I will copy once I’m on my laptop.

The moonlight sonata is one of those we have in mind in Autumn @pansyface. On the way back from shopping I listened to Alan T’s choice on Classic FM and thought that we also listen preferable to certain music in different seasons. The Lark Ascending in a warm summer night is depressing  but sitting in a car in November on a grey rainy day definitely does something with me.

How about a band called Mostly Autumn with a song called Evergreen

    Not bad, @LunarSea

I thought more of something like Arvo Pärt- Spiegel im Spiegel takes you really off:.

I'm sure that most of you know this piece. It's a tough one for those who don't know it.

There is no better way to describe the German romanticizing melancholy of Autumn than listening to this piece, @pansyface
