    Thank you all for your help in identifying the mushrooms. I looked up what you said about the field mushroom and they look the same, but I think I’ll refrain from eating them. Just in case.

    @Scarletmist -the problem with the poisonous mushrooms is - you only get to try them once ..... ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
