Climbing rose recommendation please

Hi all. Looking to buy a nice rambler, but have some very specific requirements. I'd like to plant it on a north facing wall, and would also like some good fragrance and a bit of repeat/long flowering. I had a suggestion 'Rambling Rector' but both David Austin and Sarah Raven say this needs full sun. Anyone got any ideas? Ta

I suppose Rosa Canina can often be found in semi shade spots along hedgrows and woodland edges, its not repeat flowering although there may possibly be some hybrids that are...
Edit - I'm sure you're aware, but climbing and rambling roses are very different. Not trying to sound pedantic but its worth considering if there's a particular aesthetic you're after.

So, does it actually have to be a bona fide ‘rambler’? What sort of height/width of wall are you looking to cover? Most big ramblers like Rampant Rambler and Wedding Day are usually grown up into large trees..
