Choosing a birch tree variety for beds

    @dilby Thankyou for posting the photo. I would like the thoughts of others it does seem a tight space for birch. I guess you are looking for some height do you wish to just hide the fence of go higher?
    I'd like to go a bit higher (there are windows overlooking the garden which you cant see). I have a cabbage tree and palm already in the bed and had a real mediterranean/australian theme going before I replaced the deck and beds (I'm an aussie expat). In hindsight I probably should have angled off this corner to make it a nice big space for a birch. 

    i'm happy for it to spill onto the deck, and have seen birches grow in smaller wooden pots so i thought i'd be able to get away with it! 🤞🏻
