    I agree I would wait too. Fingers crossed for Hollyhocks. Cultivated Geums don't set seed like the weed.

    I have a garden full of weeds at the moment,  including the dreaded wild germs,   When they are small, they don’t seem to have leaves up on stalks like those,  the leaves are bunched closer to the ground. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    @Lyn Yes I agree that is another way of identifying the weed. Not sure if you meant germs but a great name for the weeds!
