    Thank you everybody's for your investigative skills! It really is a pretty plant, it appears to be sending out more shoots from the base, any ideas how vigorous it is please?

    @WonkyWomble I don't think it is a very vigorous plant infact it does as it is told! Not sure why it is known as the Obedient plant other than it's neat habit.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I grew the white form from seed once. They weren't very vigorous and only lasted a couple of years, but they might do better in richer, wetter conditions, like so many things do.
    If you move one of the individual flowers, it's supposed to stay where you put it instead of springing back, hence "obedient plant". I never tried it though, so I don't know whether it's true.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Thank you @GardenerSuze and @JennyJ, my mother, @Dovefromabove would will find it highly amusing that I'm growing an obedient plant! 🤣 Never did as I was told, not once! 
    Really pretty plant so I've grabbed a clump back from my customer! That will teach me to pass things on without finding out what they are!!!
