The seedling will be the same as the parent plant. Some claim the foliage is not as dark as the parent plant, but I have not found that happening in the past. It all depends on the amount of light and time of year. The leaves get darker with age and in also in mid-later summer.
I've just bought one today and were having the same query with myself. Did a quick google and came up with the same results, I did see something about seedling not being as vibrant as the parent plant ?
If you look at the link I posted, you'll see it's self seeded all around the village here - perfectly happy and very floriferous

@Perki I think that is possible some seedlings do have a greenish tinge. As the flowers develop the leaves can look greener. If there is plenty of sun no real problem. I had hundreds coming up in the path in full sun everyone had a good colour.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I've had it in my garden for a number of years. Improved clay soil (but still damp), full sun and semi shade in mid Lancs. Seeds freely - even between the cracks in my block paved path. It's fairly bomb proof. I like it.
