Dotted around our house are glass tumblers, each sitting on the front of an old birthday card! Always have a spider relocater kit at hand!
I don’t talk to our spiders, they get shown the door pretty quickly, but I do talk to woodlice! I’m not scared of those, and happy to pick them up to escort outside. Where do they come from? I can almost guarantee that each morning, I will find at least one sauntering across the floor. OH swears he has blocked all the gaps round the floor edges ( after past visits from field mice!)

I think they come either from or are attracted by the compost we use now ,peat free ,which seems to be mostly bits of old mouldy wood .That’s my guess .

I'm glad it's not just me who sees the occasional woodlouse ? (parson's pig) walking across the floor. Often wonder where they come from and where they are heading. Thought the dog may have brought them in tucked in his fur having rolled in something. The cat sits and watches them before they are escorted outside.
