@Veilchenblau Beautiful and they seem to do good for you in pots. I ordered three new ones from Signature Hydrangeas yesterday and now I regret not getting 'Blueberry Cheesecake', I had it on my shortlist.
@Marlorena I confess I did use some colourant with them last year but decided to let them do their own thing this year. I was amazed how vibrant they all still are. No idea if any residual of the colourant is left in the soil a year later? They only had a plant feed this year. @edhelka Most of mine are in large pots as I find they fair better on the shadier patio area. I have 6 in the ground but I had to move ‘Ice Girl’ this year as she suffered badly with not enough shade last year, seems ok in her shady spot now: @Fran IOM Thank you, Koria we found in a local garden centre and just loved the shape of the flowers. Signature Hydrangea’s did it too at one point but I’m not sure about this year.
@Papi Jo What a lovely selection of hydrangeas you have. In particular, I really like the look of ‘Pastelgreen’. I’m quite taken with Marlorena’s ‘Libelle’ too.
This is 'Hamptons' hydrangea when it first opened up - creamy white edged with pink.
It matured to fully pink. First year plant, so it may change to blue in future years in my acidic soil.
This was sold to me as a limelight. Doesn't look like the typical conical paniculata form, but it's young and could just be too immature for the full bloom.
This was a no ID from a big box retailer. The bloom shape and white color indicates it's probably an arborescens but I can't figure out what variety has pink where this one does (center of sepals and on the fertile flowers).
The whole plant about a month later. Blooms mature to a lime green.
