Northwoods wilding etwork in Scotland have just been given funding for three new wilding projects. The scope grows apace. They currently have nearly 60 projects of over 50 acres each in the network - farmers, community groups, estates, islands.
I don't have a date for the first pic, unfortunately but, from the above link, this is a field at Knepp the before and after shots, with a scrape for birds having been created in the middle.
Knepp now has 20 turtle dove territories recorded, 30 nightingale territories, 60 for lesser whitethroat. Strong for cuckoo too. 26 species of dragonflies, 176 species of flies, 567 species of invertebrates, 6% with an endangered status. 56 species of molluscs, 527+ species of moth (!), 37 of butteflies.
