Help worst lawn maybe??!?

I’ve used Resolva weed killer all over a week ago. Generally I don’t think there was grass to begin with.

I can’t start again as I’ve no water/hose.

I am in the middle of aerating the lawn and borders with my fork. I’ve noticed a lot of roots probably from a neighbouring garden and they are really thick. Also, a lot of rocks underneath both lawn and borders.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you don’t have access to water, I can’t see how you can improve things.

If you used weedkiller - you've killed everything , including the grass, so you'd have to start again. You'd have to wait until the weedkiller has completely lost effect too, which is usually around 4 to 6 weeks to be safe.
However, if you have no access to water, you'd have to wait until there's sufficient rain in your forecast for seed sowing or turf laying. That will depend on where you live. That could be September in warmer areas.

There is apparently a Resolva lawn weedkiller @Fairygirl … maybe that’s the one he used. 🤞

  • Was it a selective lawn weedkiller?

Ah - yes, I use that one for spot weeding!  :D
In any case - there's not much there, so unless there's decent rain for a few day, there's very little anyone could do with that. The area's been totally scalped by the look of it.

Thanks guys. That’s what I used.

When I meant ‘no water’ I meant a sprinkler system. I have taps obviously and a watering can.

I am in the North-East of Scotland so rain it’s ALL we do!

I power raked it. I didn’t even mow it.

You'll have to wait. Plenty of rain in the forecast for tomorrow.
Why is the grass so short? That really doesn't help it thrive.

Sorry- you posted at the same time as I did there. That will have done more harm than good at this time of year, but as long as there's some grass there, it'll recover with the rain.
