I found some hedgehog fungi today. Apparently they're very tasty and great on toast but these were too far gone to bother with. Location noted for next year though.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Speaking of which. My find for today is chanterelles. Very surprised and never picked them in November before. They are a bit past it but very welcome.
That's a good find @coccinella. I think it's called a mock oyster or orange oyster. As you can see they grow on decaying wood similar to the grey oyster. Steephill will you confirm please?
I think you are right again @Uff , Phyllotopsis nidulans. Rare in the UK but more common in Central Europe. The fuzzy cap helps distinguish it from similar mushrooms like Jack-O-Lantern, Omphalotus illudens. The foul smell should also help identify it.
