Be aware that Lysimachias spread by seed as well as runners!
  • Chop off their heads immediately after flowering  ? Sounds more like a war than some sedate gardening

    Hi @Unionworkeruk,

I grow it here in a damp spot and I love it.
I have enclosed it in a large circle of damp proof stuff I had. Most of it is buried, but there is about 2" proud of the soil .... but can't be seen as there are other things around it.
It does seed around but they are easily spotted and pulled out before they get a hold.
Lovely dark foliage, and a nice contrast to the plants growing around it.

  • I agree I dont want to get rid of it as I like the dark foliage as well. I have enough now so will just chop of the heads after flowering to stop seeding and pull out any I see in the wrong place that escape
