Thanks so much everyone! I had never heard of it, nor seen it, but it is so lovely that I may have to find a spot for a few. Looks lovely in a swathe as it is in this cottage I’m staying in.
My favourite hybrid is Sisyrinchium palmifolium, which we used to have in our previous garden. It's commonly known as the Bird-of-Paradise Sisyrinchium. The flowers close when it's cloudy.
