Is this sisyrinchium or pale yellow eyed grass?

It’s superb! Looks rather like a very dainty Iris.

A very nice one indeed! Obviously likes the spot it's in  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've grown this plant for about 30 years and this is the first year I've heard the name Pale Yellow-eyed Grass. I'm sure I've heard another common name though, just can't remember what it was. :)

I've heard satin flower too, but there are quite a few other plants (eg Libertia) also called satin flower, so I stuck with Sisyrinchium striatum (have to use the full name as I also have Sisyrinchium californicum)

Thank you for posting this thread.
That may be just the right plant for a sunny spot I need to fill. Completely forgot about sisyrinchiums.😎

I've seen it referred to as 'Aunt May'.

Aunt May is the variegated form even better.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

I don't think I've ever seen the variegated form, nor have I heard its name before. Looking at photos, I think I prefer the bog standard one.
