A touch of vanity is in all of us.  All normal people anyway.  We evolved to show off;  like peacocks, it's how we find our mates.  The word for not having vanity is "autistic”.

That is a very confused and extremely misleading statement.

There is no link between autism and vanity, sorry that is just a ridiculous jumble of words.

How is producing a garden whose design gives you pleasure, vanity?

...and people wonder why I have this person on ignore.  :|

It doesn't stop me seeing the ridiculous, and often highly offensive, statements it makes as I can obviously see them when they're quoted by others.

That may be how you find your mate/s ... some of us have evolved beyond that and chose our mates based on compatibility.

Writing to upset or shock others obviously appeals to your vanity @Bede I am so pleased I don't see the world through your eyes.

May I respectfully suggest you keep your future posts to the subject of gardening, I will encouage you to do so as many of the comments you have made directly to me have had  little regard for the subject.

I find your posts on gardening, interesting informative what you are able to grow is very differnt from what will grow well here.

I am not expecting a direct reply to this post I know you will struggle with that concept.

Good to see you have a new thread I shall read with genuine interest other gardeners comments.

What happened to the OP, "geordief"?

Or have we now basically established that was Bede's alt account!

No need to apologise @Dovefromabove. You have enough to think about just now anyway. x

The fault lies solely with the instigator of the thoughtless comments.
