Compost not composting

    I think it’s probably as much to do with size as anything. It’ll get there but will just take longer. The bigger the bin/heap, the speedier the process in my experience, heat speeds it up but isn’t vital. 

    Do you shred everything at the moment? That is the biggest route to quick compost for me, the more I shred before adding the quicker the results. If not then a couple of minutes chopping with shears or old Secateurs before adding helps a lot.

    if agree having them up in the air like that is probably not helping though.

    Jellyfire: Everything was shredded up until this year but anything that wouldn't break down quickly like corn cobs and avocado skins were left out.
