    Thanks for that lovely little verse.

    It sounded vaguely familiar, and I now wonder if it was used by Paul Simon for for his song April Come She Will?

    Middle of may, she comes to stay
    Middle of June, she changes her tune
    Middle of july, away she must fly
    *Adjust for Climate Change as necessary.
    You could have made it rhyme better 🙄🙂

    No cuckoo’s here for years ,too much building and HS2 etc ,just another piece if wildlife lost from our area .I was taught at school
    The cuckoo comes in April
    She sing her song in May 
    In June she changes tune 
    And in July she flies away 
    Unfortunately climate change has knocked that saying into a cocked hat !
