It sounded vaguely familiar, and I now wonder if it was used by Paul Simon for for his song April Come She Will? I'll tag @Fairygirl as she knows his music.
Bee x
Gardener and beekeeper in beautiful Scottish Borders
A single bee creates just one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime
No cuckoo’s here for years ,too much building and HS2 etc ,just another piece if wildlife lost from our area .I was taught at school The cuckoo comes in April She sing her song in May In June she changes tune And in July she flies away Unfortunately climate change has knocked that saying into a cocked hat !

@Bee witched the one line is v.similar:
"June she will change her tune"
No doubt shamelessly ripped off from "Trad" again!
Oh; and forgot to say - I heard one last week here in Gloucestershire
The cuckoo comes in April
She sing her song in May
In June she changes tune
And in July she flies away
Unfortunately climate change has knocked that saying into a cocked hat !
